The Gospel that we’re sharing with people is becoming very exciting. We’re beginning to see
quite a few people who are becoming exhausted with Christianity. I say that hesitantly because
many times we directly connect the term Christianity with the Gospel. But in the process of the
years that I have been involved in this and began to speak what we perceived to be the Gospel,
it seems as though a large portion of what is called Christianity actually opposes the Gospel.
The very first time that I said that statement, it was a shocking statement to me and to the
people that I said it to. Then we stopped and began to realize how much of modern day
Christianity would not support the idea that Jesus died for everybody and that it’s not a man’s
performance and not what we do that matters. Much of Christianity would not support just that
very basic assumption. They would support it in theory but when you got down to the basics, it
would be, “Yes we believe that but….yes…and if.
What we want to give to you tonight is the Gospel; no ifs, ands, buts or maybes. Because when
Jesus died on the cross, there were not if(s), there were not and(s), there were not but(s) and
there were not maybe(s). What he did, he did completely! When he went to the cross and
when he died, he said, “It is finished.”
Now, what we hope to convey to you is that finished work of the cross. If we, the Christian
community at large, were assessing the cross which is the death, burial and resurrection of
Jesus, how many of you believe that if we error, we are probably underestimating what Jesus
did on the cross? Or do you believe that if we error, we are probably believing that he did way
more than what he actually did? Are you afraid to vote? I think I know your vote.
I think we’ve all been fairly aware of most all of our lives that we have this strange suspicion
inside of us that Jesus accomplished much more than what we’ve been taught, what we’ve
entertained, what we’ve thought, what we’ve conceived, or what we’ve even been able to think
or believe. And we’re even told that people that do believe, it says that he’s able to do
exceedingly abundantly above all that you ever asked or have ever thought. Let us think about
the mercy of God. When you begin to think about the mercy of God, we try to compare that to
the mercy of men. How many of you are glad that God’s mercy is no where near comparable
to the mercy that men offers? God’s mercy is constant.
Man’s mercy, including mine, wavers once in awhile but God’s mercy never wavers. It doesn’t
have to fit within my lack of mercy or my lack of compassion. Just because the minister runs
out of patience, doesn’t mean God has. Just because the minister is angry doesn’t mean God is
angry. Just because the minister says you don’t measure up doesn’t mean that Jesus has not
caused you to measure up completely in the eyes of God.
Once again, we didn’t come here to British Columbia to let you know all that is wrong with
you. I found out that Canadians really don’t like Americans coming and telling them what’s
wrong with them anyway. (Chuckle) But we didn’t come to tell you what’s wrong with you.
That is not the Gospel. The Gospel is not a revelation of what’s wrong with you. All you have
to do is ask who you live with to find out what’s wrong with you. No! You’d better not to do
that. You’ll wind up in a fight before the evening is over.

The Gospel is a revelation of what’s right with you in spite of what’s wrong with you. Jesus
Christ did not die on the cross to create an individual, a community of individuals, or a group or
a denomination whom he would purge of all their humanness to where they would have in
experience no faults, failures or human weaknesses.
If Jesus Christ died on the cross to produce a race, a group or an individual who has no faults
and failures, then of all religious leaders who have come to this earth, Jesus Christ is the
biggest failure at his goals of any religious leader that’s ever come to this earth. However, if as
the New Testament and the prophets agreed, and it was prophesied that Jesus was coming for
this purpose, he was coming to get a people who didn’t know him and never asked for him.
Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us in that while we were yet sinners,
Christ died for us. He said, “I’m going to go make them righteous. I will make them
righteous while they are still in their sins.” The prophet said, “Once I make them righteous,
absolutely nothing they ever do will ever be held or counted or marked against them.”
Now with that simple revelation which Paul said is the entire foundation of the new covenant,
that basic insight destroys most of what we know as Christianity today and that is the fact that
God would make someone righteous without doing right.
Now, how many of you know that you have to be absolutely righteous before God to have
eternal life? It’s declared that. You have to be absolutely righteous. How many of you have
come to the conclusion also that in yourself and your works, you are absolutely righteous? All
right! But you have to be righteous. This is the paradox of the Gospel. The demand for
perfection and righteousness is there, yet we in our humanness know that we are not perfect,
yet in the revelation of the Gospel, we are perfect in the eyes of God. We are righteous. We
are holy. God has done a work completely by himself. He didn’t need our help. In fact, the
old covenant was written to make sure he excluded the world so he could include the world.
He had to disqualify everybody so he could qualify everyone. He disqualified everybody
based on one man’s disobedience so he could qualify everyone based on the obedience of
the second or last Adam and that is Jesus Christ.
This Gospel is a very powerful thing. Many times people have asked me where I got this from.
We’ve not heard anybody say these things. We’ve not heard this preached. Some people have
heard others say it and I’m very grateful for that. Well that means, it’s right. No, it may mean
there are more crazies out there. You know, it doesn’t mean that it’s right. But it is wonderful
to hear other people saying and teaching that God isn’t angry with us; that righteousness is a
gift and once that gift is given, it is not taken away. Once you are made righteous before God,
your actions and deeds cannot reverse that. God does not mark, count or hold fault against you
anymore. Folks! This is good news. We didn’t come to tell you what’s wrong with you. We
came to tell you what’s right with you. This really is good news. God does not hold, count or
mark your faults against you.
I have found of course in many cases, people don’t want to accept that. You know, the thing
that I have noticed and I have observed is that there is a reason people do not want to accept
The Gospel of Peace Series

3
the fact that God doesn’t hold, count or mark your faults against you anymore. It’s not that
they don’t want to accept it for themselves. But you see, they know somebody that, bless God,
he ought to be marking their faults again them. How many of you know somebody God ought
to really just beat the daylights out of them? Now, it’s not you. I know. But everybody here
knows somebody God ought to really just beat the daylights out of them. And if this is true,
this means he’s not going to beat the daylights out of them. And God knows I’d do it if I got a
chance.
This Gospel is a great equalizier. I believe that it has the power to transform this world in a
very, very dramatic way. We that have believed need to get out from guilt and condemnation.
I used to think that was the greatest thing that the Gospel did for me was that it delivered me
from guilt. I was amazed. This may amaze you. It’s been over four years since I felt the
sensation of guilt between me and God. Now I’ve felt sorrow and remorse for what I’ve done
to somebody else, where I’ve lost my temper or I’ve said something or done something. My
intentions were not to do that but I hurt someone. I’ve hurt people. I hope that it wasn’t
deliberate. I try to say it wasn’t but sometimes when I stop and look, I say “Well gosh! I kind
of calculated that one. Didn’t I?”
But the thing of it is, I know that in God’s sight that was not held against me and I still stand
before God as holy and righteous. Because of that, I am totally free to go to the people I have
offended and say, “Listen I really am sorry. I have offended you.” But now it’s easy to say I
was wrong. It’s easy to say I’m sorry. Because I’m wrong doesn’t mean I’m not righteous. I
am wrong does not mean I am not holy. I am wrong does not mean I am rejected by God. I
can say that I have done wrong. I can say that I’m sorry and that I hurt you because there’s a
constant in my life that never ever wavers. God’s view and opinion of me never changes. It
strengthens my heart. It strengthens my heart.
I don’t know what it’s like to feel guilty. Now the other part of this incredible Gospel, the
other side of this coin, the gradual freedom (I wish I was as free from this part of it as I was
guilt but I’m getting more freedom). And that is judgment; to have your heart free from
judging other people. Folks! Do you realize that being a judge is a big job? I tell you! I was
glad to lose the job. It’s like, wow! You know! The pay was lousy (chuckle) and to be free
from being other people’s judge has been a very wonderful experience.
A lot of times, people ask me where this started. What would have caused someone to take this
path? Who taught me these things? Where did I get it? Well I would like to tell you I had a
teacher. I really would like to blame this on someone else. Then when people get mad at me,
and that’s happened once or twice, I can say it’s their fault. He’s the one that told me this. But
I can’t in most cases. It’s not that I haven’t learned some wonderful things from some very
wonderful people. But the fact of it is, I’ve learned more from you guys than I’ve learned from
other ministers and teachers. As you have understood the Gospel and some of you I have
talked to, it’s been so wonderful to hear the insights that you have. It’s like wow! If that’s
true, then how about this? I’ve had such joy learning from you.
The very basis of my very understanding of the Gospel is rooted in what’s called, the Gospel of
Peace. In the Old Testament, it was prophesied to be the covenant of peace. There would be a
The Gospel of Peace Series
Judging God
Tape I
4
covenant of peace that God was going to declare. All through the New Testament, Paul teaches
that the new covenant is the Gospel of Peace. There are only two things called the Gospel in
the New Testament. There is not a gospel of healing. There is not a gospel of prosperity.
There is not a gospel of church authority. There is not a gospel of church structure.
There are only two things called the Gospel. It’s called the Gospel of Peace and the
Gospel of the Grace of God. That may explain the reason that every letter Paul wrote, his
introduction and salutation in many of them, was grace and peace be unto you from God our
father and our Lord Jesus Christ. That is the culmination of the Gospel.
Grace and peace! What is grace? I’m sure we could study it for the next eons of ages and
never discover the wonderful matchless grace of God. We can sing Amazing Grace but it’s
even more amazing than that. We know that Gods’ grace is absolutely wonderful and it goes
way beyond what our imaginations can conceive. However, I think it is basically accepted and
understood that the grace of God is interpreted to mean undeserved and unmerited favor with
God.
So the Gospel means good news. Good news. You have favor with God you don’t deserve.
How many of you disqualified yourself from Gods’ favor because you didn’t deserve it?
We’ve all done it. How many of you felt disqualified from God’s favor because you fell, or
broke the law, sinned or something? Now you feel rejected by God. Now wait! If the Gospel
of the grace of God is true, that grace is undeserved and unmerited and you don’t deserve it and
you didn’t get it by working for it, then why do you feel alienated by God when you do
something wrong? It’s not because of the grace of God. It is because of religion.
Modern day Christianity has geared believers to think through false doctrines that Paul called
witchcraft and doctrines of demons. You have been programmed to believe that when you do
wrong, God just kind of stands off. You’ve been programmed to believe that he at least turns
his back. You’ve been programmed to believe that he doesn’t hear your prayers. You’ve been
programmed to believe that you’re out from underneath the covering. You’ve been
programmed to believe that once you do something wrong, you’re alienated from God. You’ve
been programmed to believe that fellowship is broken between you and God. Those are all lies
because it cannot be broken because your actions and deeds did not gain you unity with God. It
was Jesus Christ and his sacrifice that gained you unity with God. For your fellowship to be
broken with God, Jesus would have to fail, not you! And let’s face the fact folks! If it only
takes your failures to alienate you from God, you’re about as far away from God as you can
get.
We know about Canadians in America. Okay? (chuckle)
We all have to come to grips with the facts of our inabilities, our weaknesses and our failures.
But it’s in that middle of our acceptance that we are human, that we are weak, that we get this
tremendous revelation that something greater than us has united us to God. And nothing can
break that fellowship; not us, our actions or our deeds. In fact, Paul said that even your
faithlessness cannot break this unity with God. He said even if we become faithless, he
remains faithful because he can’t deny himself. You see! This is all about him.

Our seminar is called A Gospel Revolution, a focus on Jesus. Folks! That is where it is, our
focus should be on Christ.
Now many people get nervous when you begin to tell them their faults and actions and deeds
are not held, accounted or marked against them. The reason for that is because most of
Christian society believes that the only reason there are nice people and that they are moral or
have correct behavior is because they are commanded by God to be nice.
How many of you remember being children and being commanded by your parents to be nice?
It didn’t work, did it? It didn’t work even under threat of punishment. Now for children raised
in Christian homes, it’s worse. They are not just threatened with punishment, they are told that
when they do wrong it is displeasing Jesus. They are told that is crucifying Jesus all over
again. They are told God is not pleased with them. They are told that Jesus does not like what
they are doing. They are told that Jesus can’t be with them and bless them if they’ve done
these things. So we have been trained from childhood in North America Christianity, to
believe in a God who rejects us when the whole Gospel is a revelation of how God has
accepted us; outside of our weaknesses, in spite of our faults, in spite of our failures.
It’s good news so far. Don’t you at least hope it’s true? It better be true because if it isn’t….
whew! We’re all in trouble because no one in himself has measured up to the glory of God.
But folks, you have measured up to the glory of God in Jesus Christ.
Isaiah prophesied about the cross and what was going to happen.
Isaiah 59:10 We grope for the wall like the blind and we grope as if we had no eyes: we
stumble at noon day as in the night; we are in desolate places as dead men.
Isaiah 61 begins to tell us that he came to restore sight to the blind. The blindness that he came
to restore has to be taken in context. Yes he did it physically but he did it to reveal the most
powerful spiritual truth that there was in the Bible. Through Jesus Christ, blindness to the
righteousness of God that existed through the law was going to be ripped away from the eyes of
the people.
It was ripped away 2,000 years ago until Christianity began to default and it began to default
very rapidly and it went all the way into the dark ages until Martin Luther gave us some of the
light. But now folks, I tell you we are still in for a Gospel revolution that can transform this
world. It has little to do with what we know as modern day Christianity.
The other part that Paul called the Gospel was the Gospel of peace.
Now, that’s not the Gospel of tranquility in your heart. Thank God for a feeling of tranquility
in your heart but that is a result of the Gospel of peace. It is not the actual Gospel of peace.
Here, the term “peace” means the cessation of all hostility. It means the end of a war. Good
news! A declaration of peace as opposed to war has come. The new covenant is an absolute
declaration of peace from God to this earth.

We’re going to go into that today and probably some tomorrow. I want you to turn with me in
your Bibles to Isaiah 61:
Right now, the religious fervor about the year 2,000 is building with absolute unbridled
comments that are so outlandish, I am so thankful that TBN, and CBN and all the other BNs
and BSs are all saying what they’ve got to say. I believe in the long run, they are exposing
themselves and once the year 2,000 rolls around and this judgment has not fallen on us from
God, then the general population is going to be able to stop and say, “None of this has
happened.”
Now, you see, we live in a very unique time. Before all of these groups and their ministers
could say within the group, all of this judgment is coming from God. And then when it didn’t
happen, then they would make all kinds of excuses. Well we did like Jonah did. We prayed
and God decided not to do it; all kinds of things. They could make those statements in their
groups who have been trained to be narrow minded but this 2,000 year thing has brought their
prophesies to the most open and public market.
And folks, I for one am really looking forward to the year 2,000 because once and for all, for
the first time in all of the centuries of a perverted Gospel, the general population is going to be
able to look and say, “You were wrong.” And out of it, I believe is going to come a
tremendous harvest for the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
I am not afraid of the year 2,000. I am very excited about it.
The numerous prophesies of judgment and doom and gloom that have come, you watch it and
nobody ever holds them accountable. No one ever looks back.
Pat Robertson prophesied back in the 80’s that the American economy was absolutely going to
collapse in total disarray. You better take your money out of the bank and head for the hills! It
did not happen. We began one of the most prosperous times in the history of the North
American continent. Were they held accountable for that? The excuse time is over folks. Now
there is a Gospel to say not only are you wrong, but this is why you were wrong from the very
beginning.
There is something very flawed about the very basic philosophy and the basic teaching and
preaching that people like that are doing because they are forgetting that Jesus said that he
came and hung on a cross and bore all of God’s judgment and wrath upon this world for the
sins of the entire earth. So the prophesies of God getting angry and killing people is an insult to
the cross of Jesus Christ. It’s an insult to the cross of Jesus. It is probably one of the most
fundamental things that I know of in the Bible is this thing called the Gospel of peace. Yet
Christianity is constantly prophesying judgment. And somehow Jesus gets left out of this.
The comment that is most commonly made is, “Well if God doesn’t judge San Francisco, he’s
going to have to raise Sodom and Gomorrah and apologize to them.” That is the most asinine,
ignorant statement to the Gospel you could possibly ever hear. I’ve got a little different take on
this. They say if God doesn’t judge San Francisco, he’s going to have to raise Sodom and

Gomorrah and apologize. My take on it from the Gospel is that if God were to judge San
Francisco, it is not Sodom and Gomorrah that needs an apology. But if God does judge San
Francisco with his wrath and anger, he’s going to have to turn to his right hand and say to
Jesus, “I am so sorry Jesus. I know I told you that you were going to bear the sins of the whole
world; that all judgment was placed upon you at the cross. But I’m sorry, I got mad at those
faggots and I just had to kill them. (chuckle) It is Jesus who will have to be apologized to if
God judges San Francisco. Jesus died for the sins of every individual and every nation upon
the face of this earth. Through the cross, he declared peace with man. You do not know
anyone that God is angry with. Now I try to talk him into getting angry with Jerry Falwell but
what can you do? You know, sometimes you just can’t have your way about everything.
Folks, this is a Gospel revolution. I know that my speech to you is bold but it has to be because
this Gospel has mixed with so much of the quagmire of the mixture of an old and new covenant
together that it has to be said clearly. It has to be said straight forward. Yes! I know about all
the prophesies of judgment. Yes! I know about all of them but the thing that we’re missing is
the cross. God prophesied he was going to destroy everybody. God prophesied and said
through Isaiah that everybody’s going to die. I’m going to kill them all. I’m upset with
everybody. I’m going to kill everybody. But then at that moment, in that day of judgment,
when judgment was to come, God’s own son, Jesus Christ, stepped into the breech and bore the
wrath of God for the entire earth. That is the good news that we should be preaching to this
world, rather than going around threatening them with punishment if they don’t bow their knee
to Jesus Christ. We have a good news Gospel.
Isaiah 61 Of course you know, this is what Jesus read this in the synagogue recorded in Luke
4. He was reading from these verses.
Isaiah 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me because the Lord hath anointed me to
preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to
proclaim liberty to the captives and the opening of the prison to them that are bound.
The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me. Now, this is not a verse for you to claim. This is
Jesus. Now I’m not arguing that the Spirit of the Lord is not on you but this is not about you.
This is about Jesus and we must let the prophecies of the scripture about Jesus hold true to him
and not take them out of context. By doing so, we have created absolute havoc in modern day
Christianity.
How many of you have heard about the year of jubilee? This is it! Oh hallelujah! The year of
jubilee is here and if you’ll just give money to our ministry God’s going to pay off all your
debts. Why? Because we’ve figured it up. This is the 50 year thing. Folks! Every 50 years of
the redemption of all of debt was a type and shadow of what was going to happen at the cross.
The year of jubilee was the cross of Jesus Christ. That is the only year of jubilee you have.
There’s nobody going to forgive all your debts. Boy I just took all the hope away from some of
you. (chuckle) The debt that was to be forgiven; all of that was a type and shadow of the true
debt that needed to be forgiven and that was the debt of sin. Jesus declared that the year of
jubilee was the cross. The teachers, prophets, Isaiah, all of them prophesied about this year of

8
jubilee that would come. Here in Isaiah 61, Jesus quoted from here. Remember when he
quoted it, he said, “This day this is fulfilled in your ear.”
He said, “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me because the Lord hath anointed me to
preach good tidings unto the meek. He said I’ve come to preach good news!
He hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted. Now, I taught on this a lot but you have to
keep it in context. You have to go back and read Isaiah in the previous chapters. What were
they brokenhearted about? Now folks! I thoroughly understand about going through life’s
problems and getting a broken heart. How many of you here have had a broken heart through
the loss of a child, a mother, a father or something like that? How many of you didn’t get your
broken heart healed immediately? How many of you, like everybody else, had to take time to
get through it even though you were believers in Christ. You had to take time to get through
that. You see, this healing of the brokenhearted is something even more powerful than that.
We’re not challenging whether or not Jesus can comfort your heart in a time of trouble or even
disaster in your own life. But that’s not what he’s talking about. These people according to the
previous chapters here were broken hearted because of their sin and their alienation from God.
They were brokenhearted because there was
nothing they could do about their condition between them and God. They were brokenhearted
about alienation from God. And what did Jesus say he came to do. Jesus said he was come to
heal the brokenhearted. Folks! You should never have a broken heart about your condition in
God’s eyes. There are plenty of things in this world to have a broken heart about but Jesus
came to heal the brokenhearted.
It also says he came to proclaim liberty to the captives. Now I know you get in a good
charismatic service and this liberty to the captives…it all depends on what they want an altar
call for. Maybe it’s cigarettes that night and so the altar call is for all of you who are captives
to cigarettes. Come up! Jesus is going to set you free. And thank God for any change of bad
habits that you have. But to reduce this marvelous proclamation to the freedom of smoking is
ridiculous. Folks! This is something that only Jesus can do. How many of you know that
people that don’t even believe in Jesus can quit cigarettes? How many of you know that even
people that don’t believe in Jesus have come out of financial bondage and poverty? Even
people who don’t even believe in Jesus have been physically healed. This is something that
goes far beyond that. You say, “Oh my God, he doesn’t believe in any of this stuff.” Let me
tell you something. Show me one that is divine and it’s there. I’ll believe it. You’re not going
to have to try and convince me. But the things that you see on Christian television…folks!
I’ve been in the guys meetings. I used to conduct the meetings. I know how much of it is
phony and they leave people who really are in critical condition walking away from those
places, feeling rejected by God because they didn’t get healed. There is something deadly
wrong with these things. You say, “Well what about if God just wants to heal two or three of
them?” Folks! I’m sorry! That doesn’t compute within me. How does God walk into a room
and say, “Ah…you… and I think I’ll heal that one back there but nah…you don’t count!”
“Well”, you say, “who are you to question God?” I’m not questioning God. I’m questioning
modern day Christianity in its perceptions of who God is. And I will question it because there
is a Gospel that had been swept away under the deluge of reconditioning statements that are
about Jesus and we try to apply them to things.

These prophecies are about Jesus and what he was going to do not in my relationship between
you and I, not in my relationship between me and my wife or between me and my daughters or
anybody on this earth. These were prophecies about what Jesus was going to do about my
relationship with God without my help.
He said, “I’ve come to heal the brokenhearted and to proclaim liberty to the
captives…..liberty to what captives…freedom to what captives? We were bound to the law and
Jesus came and proclaimed liberty. He came to tell us… I’m freeing you from this law that’s
holding you in bondage to the condition of sin. I’m going to nail it to my cross and all of the
captives are going to go free. You will no longer stand before God, judged, based on the
conditions of his laws. You will stand before God judged on the condition of my sacrifice and
my priesthood. How many of you believe his sacrifice was good enough? How many of you
believe his priesthood was good enough. That has replaced the law of Moses. The law was as
perfect as Jesus priesthood but the law couldn’t make anybody perfect. But what the law
couldn’t do, God has done through Christ by the grace of God.
Ah folks! You’re perfect in God’s sight. You’re holy. You’re without fault. You’re without
blame. Now you may have faults but don’t be stupid. (chuckle) Paul said, “You’re stupid.
What are you doing? You started out in this in the spirit. You were declared to be righteous
through the spirit. Are you become so bewitched by preachers, have you become so bewitched
that you now think that now
that you’re in the spirit and the spirit of Christ is in you, do you actually think it’s now your job
to protect your flesh? Folks, what Paul called witchcraft, I call Christianity 101. I thought that
was what Christianity was. Accept Christ and start working really hard on getting that flesh
straightened out. Paul called it witchcraft. We call it Christianity.
I’m probably already in trouble.
To proclaim liberty to the captives and the opening of prisons to them that are
bound….Folks! Ephesians makes reference to this that Jesus went in and the Bible says that he
led captivity captive. He went into a prison where people were bound. What prison was that?
It is talked about throughout Isaiah. It is talked about throughout the New Testament that the
human race was in a prison called sin. They were sinners based on the disobedience of one
man. They were declared to be sinners and could not escape no matter how much they obeyed
the law, no matter how much they obeyed God, no matter what they did they could not escape
this prison of sin. They were still declared to be sinners. Even good people were declared to
be sinners and no less sinners than murderers.
But Jesus said I have come to open that prison door to those that are bound and he did. And
Paul’s definition of this bondage and being bound is being bound to the law. And that Christ
has released us from that bondage. You are no longer bound through the law and through the
disobedience of Adam to be a sinner. You are now bound by the obedience of Jesus and the
grace of God. You are now a prisoner of the righteousness of God and Paul says you are slaves
to righteousness. He didn’t say you were slaves to right doing. How many of you have
escaped occasionally from right doing? Well then does that mean that Jesus failed to make you
The Gospel of Peace Series
Judging God

10
a slave to righteousness as it says? No! He made you a slave absolutely to righteousness not a
slave to right doing.
It means he made you righteous and there’s nothing you can do to escape it. This is a
wonderful prison we’re locked up in folks! How many of you have tried to get out? I’ve tried
to get out. I’ve tried through my actions and deeds to get out of this prison and was even
convinced by Christianity that I had been thrown out but thank God the gospel reaffirmed to me
the goodness of God. He reaffirmed to me that he never left me nor forsook me. The years that
they told me that God couldn’t have been with me because I did this and I did that; the Gospel
reaffirmed to me he was there all the time.
What Christianity held against me, God never held against me. This is good news. This is such
good news, it’s good news.
To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord…..Now the term the acceptable year of the Lord
is the same place that those who teach on these things, they say the acceptable year of the Lord
and the year of jubilee are synonymous and that is what they are talking about. He says I’ve
come to declare the year of jubilee. I’ve got to declare the year that God, not man, but God
would forgive all debt. It didn’t happen to be the debt that was at the bank. But he said there
was a year of jubilee where God would declare absolute freedom from the debt of sin. And
folks, that year of jubilee is not yet to come. That year of jubilee took place 2,000 years ago
and now people in ministry are trying to seduce the Christian community into giving all their
money to them so they can experience the year of jubilee. Well folks, if God’s going to forgive
all debt, why do ministries need your money in the first place? (chuckle) Isn’t that what they
are wanting? Don’t they want you to give them all your money so that they can pay their
debts? So don’t they believe this year of jubilee that they are
preaching? If they believed it, they ought to be giving you money saying, we don’t need this
money anymore. The year of jubilee is here.
Side 2
But I don’t believe that, so I still need your money! (chuckle)
Now this is really strange here. Listen to the wording here. First off, I’ve come to declare to
you, the acceptable year of the Lord, or the year of jubilee, and the day of the vengeance of our
God. Whoa! Wait a minute! He now says that the year of jubilee, the acceptable day of the
Lord, is also what? The very same day that God would wipe out all debt is the same day of the
vengeance of our God. Wait! One day being talked about….God’s anger and vengeance is
going to be poured out and on the same day, God’s going to cancel out the debt of the entire
world. Folks! That’s not something to come. Jesus told them, “This day these scriptures are
fulfilled in your ear.” He didn’t say in 1999 on TBN, Bro. Schambach’s going to get up and
promise everybody if they give $2,000, God’s going to forgive all their debt. Bro.
Schambach’s a friend of mine. And yes, I’ve already rebuked him. (chuckle)
Folks, this is a great and mighty Gospel. The prophet Isaiah said there’s a time when God is
going to forgive all debt, it will also be described as the vengeance of our God. This next part

is stranger still…and to comfort all those who mourn. Wait a minute! How could the day of
the vengeance of our God be the same day that all debt is paid and be the same day that
absolute comfort comes to all those who mourn? Folks! There’s only one way this could
happen. And that is if the cross was the fulfillment of all of this.
The cross was the day that God in his own power and in his own righteousness declared the
jubilee. Not one of a physical nature but one of an absolute spiritual nature, for all debt was
wiped out.
It was also described by Jesus to be the vengeance of our God and we know through the Gospel
that is how he forgive all debt was by pouring all his vengeance and wrath on the cross of Jesus
Christ. And we also know he would comfort all those who mourn. Mourn from what? We
can’t remove this out of its context. Read the chapters before and see what they were mourning
about. They were mourning in sackcloth and ashes because the judgment of God was coming
upon them. They were mourning because the prophet had already said, “You’ve gone too far.
God’s coming to destroy you, to punish you, to kill your kids.” But guess what? The time for
the culmination of all the prophecies that were to take place for the whole world, not the
individual things that you see all the way through the old covenant, the man Christ Jesus,
stepped on the scene. What did he come to do? He came to fulfill all law and all prophecy.
I remember back in the charismatic movement, we had a song that we used to sing all the time.
It was exciting. I loved the song. (Singing) It went like this, ‘Blow the trumpet in Zion, Zion,
Sound the alarm on my holy mountain. Blow the trumpet in Zion, Zion, Sound the alarm.’
Now that was a prophecy out of the Old Testament. But do you know why they blew the
trumpet in Zion? Do you know what the sound of the trumpet did to those people? It sent a
chill down their spine because when the trumpet was blown in Zion, it meant judgment is
coming. And we’re up singing….Blow the trumpet in Zion, Zion (chuckle)
One of the chapters so totally taken out of context is Hebrews chapter 12 on the chastening and
scourging of the Lord. How many of you are familiar with that one and had it preached to you
a couple of times? Hey! You know what? If you read all the way through, it says this is the
way things are but the fact is, Jesus came and changed all of that. The chastisement of our
peace was upon him. He was scourged.
You know what it says later on in that chapter? Hebrews 12:22 It says, for you have not come
to the mount that might be touched or that burns with fire. You’ve not come to this old
covenant God, an old law and an old way of doing things. V 18 You’ve not come to the
mountain that can be touched or burns with fire or to blackness and darkness or to the point
where that V 21 Moses said, “I exceedingly fear and quake.” V 20 And that even if an
animal should touch the mountain, it should be stoned or thrust through with a dart. He
said, “You have not come to the sound of trumpets or the voice of words.”
V20 (those that heard the trumpets) said, “We cannot endure this.”
Oh folks! You’ve come to this new covenant and do you know one of the things that does not
exist in this new covenant? It is the sound of trumpets declaring that judgment is coming upon

you, the way it did upon them because it says they could not endure it. Oh folks! There’s such
wonderful good news; such wonderful good news.
To comfort all those that mourn. What were they mourning about? They were mourning about
the impending judgment of God. Jesus is talking about all one day…isn’t it amazing folks!
Look at all that was going to happen and all in one day! He was going to heal the
brokenhearted, proclaim liberty to the captives, open the prisons to those that were bound, to
proclaim the year of jubilee and the day of the vengeance of our God and to comfort all that
mourn. This verse contains one of the most concise packaged pictures of the day of the cross
that you can find in the Bible. I think that’s the reason he picked this scripture, the day he
stood up in the synagogue to read. “Things are going to change drastically”, he said!
Turn to the book of John. I want to take you through a few verses here and then we’ll close for
the night. Is this good? I wish I was sitting there listening….this is so good!
We’re going to go through several verses in John
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever
believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.
V. 17 For God sent not his son into the world to condemn (judge) the world, but that the
world through him might be saved. What did he want to save the world from? He sent his son
to save it from judgment. You’ll see that as we go on here in this incredible book of John.
Turn with me now to John 9:39 Now, look at the contrast here.
V 39 And Jesus said, “For judgment I am come into this world that they which see not may
not see and they which see might be made blind.
Here Jesus said what? The whole reason I am here is for judgment. Now wait a minute. John
3 says that Jesus didn’t come to judge the world but his whole purpose for being here was
judgment.
Doesn’t that sound contradictory? It certainly used to sound contradictory! Didn’t it! Wait a
minute! He didn’t come to judge, now he’s here for judgment. What in the world is he talking
about? Well this is the great exchange that took place at the cross. God said, “I didn’t send my
son to you to judge but he is here for judgment.”
Turn with me to John 12. This is the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem. Do you realize
the triumphal entry into Jerusalem was just days and hours before his crucifiction? And what
did Jesus say to them on that day? V 31 Now is the judgment of this world. Wait a minute!
John 3 says Jesus did not come to judge anybody. John 9 says the whole reason he’s here is for
judgment. John 12 says when he got ready to go to the cross, now is the judgment of this
whole world. How much of the world was about to be judged? The whole world was about to
be judged. Well, that’s what the prophecy said. Go back and read Isaiah, Jeremiah and
Ezekiel. They all said God was going to destroy the world. They all said God was going to
come and destroy everybody and that God wasn’t going to put up with it. The ‘day of

judgment’ was coming and the day would come when God would judge every sin. But we
forgot the prophecies about a Savior amongst the prophecies about judgment. And then there
are prophecies about judgment and then the prophecy in the next chapter is about a Savior.
Then there’s a chapter with a prophecy about judgment and how mad and how angry God is
and then the next chapter is a prophecy about a Savior.
V 31 Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.
V 32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.
V 33 This he said, signifying what death he should die.
Now again in the charismatic community, we enjoyed this song too…..(singing) Lift Jesus
higher. Lift Jesus higher. Lift him up for the world to see. He said if I be lifted up from the
earth, I will draw all men unto me. Now what did Jesus say when he said…when I be lifted up
from the earth…. was he talking about being praised and magnified? I know that’s what we
meant in the song, but what would Jesus say being lifted up meant? He was talking about the
day and type of death he would die. So, actually when we were singing…lift Jesus
higher….what were we singing? Crucify him again! Crucify him again! Crucify him again
for the world to see.
Now it says here in V 32. He said if I be lifted up from the earth…now we already know what
that is talking about. Remember it said he would be lifted up from the earth. Remember the
prophecies that were fulfilled when they lifted the cross up from the earth and it fell into that
hole where he was to stand and be judged by God. Here God in the flesh was about to be
judged by God… for God’s own laws being broken and God’s own ascribed punishment was
coming on God himself who came to this earth in the body of a man to absorb in his physical
body the punishment that the whole world was facing.
There’s an interesting little thing about this and that is the verse says, if I be lifted up from the
earth, I will draw all….and if you’ve got your King James Version there, it says men. How
many of you see the word “men” is italicized? That just simply means that the writers put that
in there to try to help us understand what they thought it was trying to say. Now, if we read it
without the word “men, it says… well first off, we’ve preached that Jesus said if I be lifted up
I’ll draw all men unto me. How many of you know that many people are repelled by the cross?
They’re not drawn by the cross. They’re repelled by it. But it reads this way, without the
inserted attempt to define…and I, if I be lifted up from the earth, I will draw all to me. Well,
we’re left without a subject. But in the English Language, the subject can be drawn from the
previous statement. You don’t have to repeat the subject over and over and over and over
again. What was the subject? Now, is the judgment of this world. What is the subject? The
subject is judgment! And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, I am going to draw it all unto me.
This is exactly what Isaiah prophesied. This is exactly what Ezekiel prophesied.
John 3 I didn’t’ come to judge the world. John 6…Jesus said to the Jews, “Don’t even think
I will accuse you to the Father. There is one that accuses you, even Moses whom you have
put your trust.” John 9…Jesus says, for judgment, the whole reason I’m here is for

judgment. John 12…says now is the judgment of this world. And Jesus said the moment that
cross is lifted up into the air, like a lightning rod of the ages, that cross is going to be like a
lightning rod and when the judgment of God comes down to kill every human being on the face
of this earth for their sins even as he prophesied he would do, the cross lifted up like a lightning
rod, spared the people and sin was destroyed in the body of Jesus Christ. For he that knew no
sin, was made sin that ye might be made the righteousness of God in Christ.
Folks, this is a great and mighty Gospel. Now, why would modern day Christianity reject this?
I can tell you that modern day Christianity rejects this for the most part. I can tell you that
David Wilkerson rejects this totally. I can tell you that Pat Robertson rejects this totally. I can
tell you beyond the shadow of a doubt, Jerry Falwell rejects this totally. I can tell you that Paul
Crouch absolutely rejects this totally. They believe there is an angry God and they yield that
doctrine over the heads of people with fear and intimidation to validate the reason for the
continuation of what they call ’their ministry’. Folks, I can apologize for presenting this in a
way that I am being offensive. I can apologize for being curt. I can apologize for being
‘tongue in cheek’. I can apologize for too much zeal. I can apologize for all of that. But I
cannot apologize for the fact that these men are defying the Gospel of Jesus Christ to make a
stand for what they call Christianity.
This was the ‘great judgment seat of Christ’, the cross. This was where God judged the sins of
the whole world. And out of this incredible, incredible insight, the Bible says then in the book
of Romans, but now because we have been justified by faith, and that’s not by your faith that
you were justified. You were justified by the faith of Jesus Christ. Your faith wasn’t good
enough to get you justified. Your obedience and your faith were totally flaky.
Folks, I can show you the requirements for faith that Jesus gave. Jesus’ requirements for faith
were as high as his requirements for the law. No man attained to any one of those levels. Even
his own disciples who saw him, walked with him, saw his miracles…folks the highest grade
they got on faith was ‘little’, and most of the time it was none. And why did they have little?
Why did they have none? He said, “Why is it that you don’t yet understand?” Folks, Jesus set
faith as high as God demanded it. He reinstituted the law as high as God gave it and then his
obedience and his faith has saved you from your sins. Your faith doesn’t save you from your
sins. Your faith acknowledges you have been saved from your sins. If your faith saves you
from your sins, how many of you have doubted occasionally? Has anybody here occasionally
had any doubts about Jesus and stuff? Have you ever gone through a difficult time and
wondered if there ever was a Jesus? I know you can’t admit it because God might get mad at
you.
Folks, I’ve doubted God. I’ve cussed him out. You say, “Oh man! He’s committed the
unpardonable sin.” One of the greatest revelations I ever got….and I do not aspire nor teach
this as a means to revelation. One of the greatest revelations I ever received about the mercy of
God was one day right after I cussed God out. Man! I was mad.
There was a precious, precious man that had been an encouragement to me, I would never had
gotten it confirmed (the mercy of God) if I hadn’t read this little book entitled “The Legalist”. I

went to his home. I finally found out where this man lived. He was a pastor from Indianapolis.
It was an encouragement to my heart. I thought, ‘my God’! That little book; I can’t believe it!
It’s my heart. It’s what I’ve seen. His wife even warned me about coming over to their home.
When I got over there, he was in his living room sitting in a recliner where he had been for
months. He couldn’t move. He couldn’t breathe; suffering! I thought, ‘what is this’? This
man who has dared to step out for the Gospel, has done more than all of these flakes on TV and
my God, he’s laying here suffering like this. He asked me to pray for him. I said, “Sure.” And
as I laid my hands on him, I thought, ‘nothing’s going to happen’.
Now I know, some of you great people of faith just know for sure something is going to
happen, every time you pray. I knew nothing was going to happen. Oh, I hoped against hope,
maybe this time, maybe this time, God please this time, for this man, for the sake of the Gospel.
I had every good reason for God why he ought to do it. I walked out of that house crushed. I
was totally crushed. I was absolutely totally crushed. I was so grief stricken I didn’t know
what to do. I was so angry I didn’t know what to do. I tell you! You put anger and grief all in
one heart, you’ve got an explosion taking place. I got in my van to drive away and I drove
about two blocks, and the grief and the anger both started coming out of me in screams of
crying. Have you ever ‘screamed cried’ before? I’m not talking about ‘boo hoo’ and I’m not
talking about just scream. I mean crying and screaming at the same time; anger and grief so
deep, so deep and so far reaching. I couldn’t see how to drive. I pulled my van off the side of
the road. I didn’t care who saw me. I didn’t care about anything. And man I tell you, I started
screaming out. I screamed at God. I won’t tell you everything I said. But one of the last things
I said was this. I said, “What the hell do you think you’re doing?” All of that grief and all of
that anger came out of me because I couldn’t make sense of these circumstances.
Now folks, let me tell you what! Most of Christianity and its’ doctrines, are created by trying
to make sense out of chaos, instead of just accepting basic truth. Folks, this world is chaotic.
There are things that happen that are out of your control and you’ll never understand them. But
doctrines that are made to make sense to make sense out of chaos are false.
It’ll always be somewhat chaotic in your life no matter how good you believe. The Gospel is
not an answer to resolve all your problems. The Gospel is good news in the middle of all of
your problems. At least you know you’re not sick because God’s mad at you. At least you
know there’s not some hurdle you’ve got to go through to get him to heal you. At least you can
live in peace, live or die because we’re all going to die anyway. The saddest thing about the
Christian community is that most of them….hey! Listen! We not only live with the grief and
the pain of our illnesses, and afflictions and the things going on, we live with the grief and pain
of guilt as to why we’re there. Who did what wrong? Who sinned? Was it this man or his
parents? Christianity is still asking the same dumb questions. Hum!
When that scream came out of my heart, I’m telling you it was. …..the only thing I can tell you
is what happened in my heart. It doesn’t validate that it’s right, I can just tell you what
happened. The moment that madness….I’m telling you I was a madman, folks. I was an
absolute raving madman. In the moment all of that anger came out of me and all of that grief
and that scream came out of my heart, instantly it was like a perfect calm came over me.

I didn’t begin to calm down. It was instantly. And this is what I heard in my heart. ‘You have
learned enough of the grace of God to know that I do not judge you based on your works.
When will you learn enough of the grace of God to stop judging me based on mine’? Now
folks, that was more than I could grasp. It resonated. You ever yelled into a cave? ‘HELLO
HELLO Hello hello hello. That’s what it was like. There’s no understanding in me to relate to
what I just heard. Nothing! But something was spoken into my heart that was so profound.
And then Hebrews chapter 4 was coming back to me. My people tested me, tried me and
proved me for 40 years long. For forty years, I was grieved with this people because they were
judging God based on his works not on his love for them. Could it be folks, that in some real
ironic way, that what God is looking for is the same thing that the deepest heart of every man
needs and that is ‘acceptance without performance.’ Could it be that the Father is looking for
that kind of a relationship with you? You have found the joy of not having to perform to be
accepted, maybe that’s the joy he’s looking for; to be accepted without having to prove himself
to you.
All the proof that is needed of his love is….while we were yet sinners, Christ died for the
ungodly. And if you need any more proof than that, you’ll never know the love of God. Thank
you Jesus.
Folks, I believe in a Gospel revolution. I believe in a revolution that could be so profound that
it could affect every society on this earth.
Three weeks ago, I did a seminar in Denver and declared the most radical Gospel I know. I had
no idea that in the group, probably about this size, there was a Buddhist, an atheist and a
scientist. Sounds like a good joke doesn’t it? (chuckle) There was a Buddhist, an atheist and a
scientist. They were all three in this airplane….. nah, that’s not….(chuckle)
I didn’t know until afterwards, we were standing around in a group, this lady who was a
Buddhist was in her late forties, started speaking and she said, “You know, I have been taken to
Christian meetings all my life because I’m a Buddhist, they all try to get me saved. I’ve walked
out of every Christian meeting I’ve ever been in, either that, or got up and told the speaker off
for being a self righteous, pompous, idiot.” In fact, the people that invited her were afraid she
might do the same to me; which has been done before. (chuckle) She said, “I couldn’t believe
the manipulation, the control, the guilt, ostracizing of myself and all they had to know was that
I was a Buddhist. They would know that in advance. I would hear the things they were saying
to alienate me and separate me and make me know I was rejected by God. She said, “Mike
Williams, if what you said tonight about Jesus is true, that God has accepted me no matter
what, then Jesus is Lord.”
Our atheist friend that was there whom I did not know and thank God I didn’t know. I would
have been trying to convert an atheist and get to a Buddhist myself. (chuckle) The atheist was
standing there in the same circle of about seven or eight of us and the atheist man was asking
questions. He was going around hugging everybody in the group! (chuckle) An atheist finds
the greatest comfort in one of Mike Williams’ meetings! Yeah right! Wouldn’t an atheist find
perfect comfort in one of your meetings? (chuckle) He was going around hugging everybody.
He was asking questions about spiritual things and everybody in that room that had sit and
listened to the Gospel, like you guys have for the last few years, would respond to questions

from him, and they would explain things to him, and afterwards they would say, “Well, that is,
of course, if there is a God.” They didn’t try to insult him. They didn’t try to tell him ‘you
gotta do this and you gotta do that’. They said, “That is, of course, if there is a God.” These
things are true if there is a God! And you know, every time they would say that, a big smile
would come across his face. He felt no rejection. He felt total acceptance. And after awhile,
he finally said, “Hey guys! You can stop saying that if you want to cause I’m kinda changing
my mind about things.”
About the atheist, this is a little bit embarrassing because it kind of sounds like I’m tooting my
own horn but I get put down a lot so I’ll toot my own horn. (smile)
The scientist that was standing there of course waited until the very end to say anything. And
after everybody had their say, the scientist spoke up and he said, “I have been in a lot of
lectures on a lot of subjects but in the last three days I have heard the greatest clarity of logic
pertaining to fact and the weight of evidence for proof on any subject that I’ve ever heard in my
entire life. I’ve heard it here.”
I was blown away. I said, “Well, I guess that’s not bad for a high school drop out. Huh!”
(chuckle)
Folks, this Gospel is powerful. I’m telling you it will not alienate people. It doesn’t separate
Buddhists, atheists and scientists and put everybody in a different category. When we realize
what the blood of Jesus Christ has done and the revelation of that comes to the hearts of
people….now I don’t know what people think I’m trying to do but let me tell you so that you’ll
know how delusional I am, my hope in preaching what I preach and share with you, is not to
try and create another religion, another group or a following. My goal is to impact within every
society of this entire world, the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I don’t want to go in and Americanize
them. I just want to share this incredible news with the Buddhists. God declared peace with
you. He’s already taken away all your sin. He paid for it at the cross. I want to tell the
atheists, and the Satanists.
Folks, there’s an irresistible love of God out there and we need to share it. Amen? Amen!
We’ll be sharing more with you about the Gospel of Peace tomorrow. Right now we want as
much money from you as we can get. I could promise you the hundred fold blessing and
everything else but you’d just laugh at me. There should be envelopes around your seat
somewhere.
The fields are now white unto harvest and there’s a Gospel that’s real. Oh, I don’t know it all.
But as good as it was tonight, it’s even ‘gooder ‘ than that. But folks, I’m totally convinced, no
matter how good Mike Williams preaches that God is, I just have this thought in my mind.
Mike Williams has never conceived how good and great the mercy of God is. It’s even greater
than what I could ever tell you. Amen?
